Course Description: Although spirituality is not recognized by the psychological community as a modality in therapy, the tools of spirituality work with, mirror, and complement counseling techniques in a way that makes them complementary when used together to promote healing for individuals engaging in counseling services. This training program serves to educate about spirituality and the benefits of spirituality, how spirituality and counseling fit together, the four basic tools of spirituality, how those fit together with counseling, the benefits, and impact of using the four basic spirituality tools, the step-by-step process of each and an example of how the process can be implemented.
Course Objectives:
After completing this continuing education activity, participants will be able to:
- Define and identify four ways spirituality and counseling fit together.
- Identify four basic tools of spirituality.
- Define and identify one-way grounding, protecting, cord cutting, chakra work, source energy, and shadow work fit with counseling.
- Identify four impacts of grounding, protecting, cord cutting, chakra work, source energy, and shadow work.
- Identify four benefits of grounding, protecting, cord cutting, chakra work, source energy, and shadow work.
- Identify a step-by-step process of grounding, protecting, cord cutting, chakra work, source energy, and shadow work.
